Hotel da Barrosinha | Alcácer do Sal

In the heart of Alcácer do Sal, Hotel da Barrosinha stands as a manifesto of industrial reconversion and contemporary hospitality. The project recovers a former distillery, preserving traces of copper and machinery that dialogue, without ceremony, with minimalist and sophisticated interior design. The common areas breathe amplitude: double-height ceilings, exposed concrete pillars and industrial lighting punctuated by touches of vibrant yellow. The colour palette is balanced — white sofas, red velvet armchairs and organic textures that soften the coldness of cement. Framed antique doors, mosaic tiles and terracotta floors provide an anchor to the past, while contemporary art on the walls introduces visual tension. In the private areas, formal restraint prevails: clean rooms, concrete panel headboards and geometric red textiles that punctuate the immaculate white. The outdoor pool, flanked by sun loungers and whitewashed-facade buildings, is pure Mediterranean light. The photographic report captures not only the architecture, but the atmosphere — that rare balance between industrial memory and hotel comfort, where each frame becomes a commercial argument and visual narrative.
